Just Announced: Strummingbird—Australia’s Fresh Take on Country Festivals—Launches Spring 2025

The creators behind Spilt Milk have revealed their latest venture - a brand-new country music festival, Strummingbird, set to roll through Australia this spring with a modern twist on traditional country fun.

Festival Dates & Locations:

  • Saturday, 25 October — Sunshine Coast (Kabi Kabi Country)

  • Saturday, 1 November — Newcastle (Awabakal Country)

  • Sunday, 2 November — Perth (Whadjuk Country)





Lineup Highlights: Headliners include Jelly Roll (making his first Australian appearance) and viral trailblazer Shaboozey. Adding depth to the bill are Treaty Oak Revival, James Johnston, Kaylee Bell, Matt Hansen, Julia Cole, The Jack Wharff Band, The Dreggs, and more. Party favourites Hot Dub Time Machine and Y.O.G.A. (for Newcastle) will close the nights with high-energy fun. Expect a festival atmosphere complete with line dancing (led by Maddison Glover), a mechanical bull, honky-tonk sideshow alley, regional BBQ, beverages, merch, and fashion that celebrates Australia’s country heart.
